Classes for Businesses
People on the job who lack the necessary literacy skills may not be able to read a new manual or file reports correctly. They may have more absences from work because they can't access preventative health information. It can be a big problem. In fact, illiteracy costs the United States about $225 billion a year in lost productivity.
Humboldt Literacy Project offers classes to area businesses to increase the literacy skills of working adults. In a class for a business, instruction focuses on the English language needed for the jobs being done, whether it is writing reports, giving and receiving orders, taking messages, writing memos, or reading manuals. We have highly qualified and experienced instructors and charge a very reasonable fee.
